For mounting your SmartThings Hub on the wall with the cables entering from the bottom, so that you can see the status light on the top. There are two versions - a deep one (40mm) which the hub should slip completely into leaving some space the head of the mounting screws, and a standard one (35mm) which half of the hub will go into and then jam against the head of your mounting screws, leaving a void in the bottom half that you can lose the extra power cable in. This was an accidental feature due to lack of foresight that I liked and went with.
