I want to provide kits of SMD parts to my customers. (0603 resistors and capacitors). The components themselves are poorly marked (especially caps) so a method for marking the paper carrier tape is required. Rather than fancy things like laser marking, it dawned on me that I could use the 4-digit resistor code, and avoid needing letters (R) or the Ohm symbol. Amazon sells an interesting 6 digit self inking stamp - perfect. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00ZAT9SR2 So, providing I could align the stamp with the tape, this would work, right?
