Smithy of Verpelét / Verpeléti kovácsműhely

Tradition has it that Matthias Corvinus stopped here to shoe his horse, this, however, is at odds with its estimated time of construction. This smithy was presumably built in the 19th century and was the workshop of the Jakab family through generations. Their tools were installed in the workshop when it was turned into a museum in 1964. It is a folk monument.
