The lid is meant to keep squishy things like fabric and yarn in, and gives the (filled) basket a nice and tidy appearance. Can potentially be used to keep animals from messing with the contents, depending on how smart your cat/dog/mouse is. One side of the lid has a slightly thinner rim, to allow the handle to be folded down completely (see third picture).

I've divided the body into four parts. Two parts fit nicely onto a standard Prusa MK2 or 3 print plate, meaning your print time using generic PLA and the FAST 0.35 mm height setting will be approximately 2 x 2 hours. Be aware that the “Lid Plate” model has to be flipped on its back before printing. The parts can be glued using standard hobby glue. I recommend printing the lid plate twice and gluing it to the top and bottom surface in the middle of the lid for added stability.

I've printed this lid four times, and it fit perfectly on all four baskets (one basket was purchased almost 1 year ago, the others just recently).
