My wife requested a cap that could snap on to the top of a can to help keep the contents fresh while in the refrigerator. She had been using plastic wrap, but we both felt that that was wasteful, since you can only get a few uses out of it. A reusable lid would be less wasteful over time. I did a search here on Thingiverse and found a few designs that would sit on the top of the can, but I felt like one that could snap on and hold would be better. So, here is what I came up with. It has a good, positive snap when putting on the lid, and it stays in place if accidentally tipped over. Notes: 1. This is designed to fit a 3 inch (75mm) steel can. Can sizes vary by manufacturer, so you may need to scale up or down a percent or two for a perfect fit. 2. I used PETG. Whichever filament you use, it should be one that has some flexibility to it. PLA is likely too brittle and would likely crack easily. 3. The version 2 (V2) file includes more slots in the rim of the lid. This would be useful if you are experiencing cracking from using a rigid filament.
