Phone case design for motorcyclist Overview and Background Despite the success of smartphone technologies, there are limited smartphone accessories made available that serves a specific group of smartphone users i.e. drivers, motorcyclist. NICYY2 has designed smartphone accessories targeted at Samsung S7 users. Snapclick serves as a mounting device for drivers/motorcyclists where it can be conveniently mount and dismount from the fixture within a snap of a finger. Lesson Plan and Activity In recent years, the world of technology has grown rapidly than it has in any other era before. Smartphones have become a necessity and crucial part of our lives these days. Consequently, the continuous growth amongst smartphone manufacturer thus attracts the likes of third party companies to create and provide a vast range of smartphone accessories and products for smartphone users. The primary function of a casing is to provide protection capabilities from physical damage upon impact. Secondary function adds ergonomic and aesthetic to its product. Lastly, practical functions generate value added to the product. According to road safety and regulations in Singapore, it is illegal to ride a motorcycle or drive using handheld devices. Hence, there is a demand for smartphone mounting device where drivers can mount their devices and use it for navigating on the road. Founded in 2016, NICYY2 aims to combine ergonomic, comfort and value added functionality to the designs of our smartphone casing. At NICYY2, we are not just committed to the aesthetic of our products. We identify and recognise the needs of our customers – to serve better for the markets we serve. This commitment is how we do business every day. The aim of this report is to provide reader with insight information of the product development of our highly anticipated product, Snapclick. By implementing the idea of a lunch box to Snapclick, this simple snap and click mechanism serves several functions such as ensuring it is easy and convenient to use. In addition, Snapclick comes with two versions where consumers are able to choose from our basic or luxury model. The main goal of our product is to allow motorcyclist to use their smartphone safely during navigation. NICYY2 ensure that quality of our product is in our gene as our material engineers selects the most suitable materials during the production of our products.
