This air assist nozzle helps to decrease residue when laser cutting wood. Just slide it over the cover of the 10W laser. You can fix it with an M3 screw. If needed, you can slightly increase the inner diameter with a file. Additional compressed air is needed, which can be supplied to the nozzle via aquarium hose / hose connector (5mm). I use a Hailea ACO 500 compressor. To install the hose adapter, just warm up the PLA with hot water and press the adapter into the 3D printed device. A little bit of glue seals the gap. Print it without support, to keep the air tubes free. The sample shows a cut through 4mm plywood with identical parameters with and without air assist. The amount of residue is reduced.
