The model of the SNCB / NMBS 's series 84 shunting locomotive, numbers 8426 to 8460 (ex type 252.0) in HO scale (1:87). This model is made to fit onto a Roco V36 chassis (I built mine with the Roco 76069 but some similar models might fit too). I started modeling this locomotive over 3 years ago. The model itself has been finished for over a year but, being largely inexperienced in making and painting larger models, I have still not finished painting it. I have however assembled it completely and made sure that it all fits together perfectly. I originally designed it for FDM printing and it was therefore in many parts but I have since redesigned parts of it to make it in fewer parts which I believe to be much better for SLA printing. I have included both sets of files in a .zip file. If printed on an FDM printer, you will need a 0.25mm nozzle (or finer) and layer heights of 0.05mm. The assembly of the model is quite intricate, to make it easier, I have made assembly instructions which are in the .zip file. Some of the parts have to be glued on and others use screws, the buffers and the horns are not 3D printed. Here is the list of parts you will have to buy, in addition to the Roco locomotive and the 3D printed files. 4x M2x16 1x M2x8 1x M2x12 5x M2 nuts 4x buffers (the ones I have used: https://www.amf87.fr/prestashop/tampons/164-4-tampons-rectangulaires-unifi%C3%A9s-pour-locomotives-4000000003830.html?search_query=A029&results=1 ) 2x horns (the ones I have used: https://www.amf87.fr/prestashop/klaxons-sifflets/189-6-trompes-pour-y80008400-et-y71007400-en-bronze-4000000004080.html?search_query=A054&results=1 ) 2x round LEDs warm white, 3mm in diameter, flat top (see assembly instructions for pictures) 2x warm white LEDs with a 2mm in diameter post (see assembly instructions for pictures) I have modeled this locomotive with both the updated twin lights and the original single lights, since I was only able to fit 2 lights at the rear, I only included the dual lights for the rear. You will therefore have to choose between the single lights or dual lights at the rear. If you go for the twin lights, you will need an additional 2 red LEDs with a 2mm in diameter post (more information is included in the assembly instructions). I am also not sure if the electronics inside the Roco V36 can be connected easily to additional lights since the model did not come with any (I have not reached this point yet on my locomotive).
