The SNK/Seimitsu LS-30 Rotary Joystick requires a special tool to remove the cap and disassemble. I was installing a few of these joysticks and didn't have a tool so I made one. If you don't know how to use this. Here is a quick video showing a home-made coat-hanger tool: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7p9S1KeLKSI The two prongs are designed to be inserted straight up the bottom of the knob. you'll want to align the tool prongs with two small nubs on the bottom of the knob (when done correctly the "S" logo on the top of the stick will be in line with the tool). If aligned correctly, Pushing upward tool will pop out the center cap.
