Snow Capped Mountain with a Curved Train Pathway
thingiverse
This is an upgraded hill inspired by Monte Cervino, created by gluetolf. The model was scaled up to 27.4L x 27.4B x 23.7H in cms. A passageway for a Lego Train was also designed to fit through it. You can either print the entire structure as one piece or split it into multiple sections and join them together. Make sure to use the same settings and printer when printing, otherwise you may need to follow post-printing steps to fix any gaps that appear. Happy Printing! Print Settings: Printer Brand: MakerBot Printer: MakerBot Replicator Z18 Rafts: Yes Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.4 Infill: 10% Notes: Remember to pause the print near the top to load white filament for a snow cap effect. If printing the top section separately, be sure to pause at the right time to load the white filament. Post-Printing: Intermediate Post Processing: The Z18 and Replicator+ printers were used to print split parts, resulting in a mismatch when joining them together. Quick glue was applied to hold them in place, then modeling clay (green) was used to fill gaps and create a natural look as seen in the images. How I Designed This: A licensed version of Ansys Spaceclaim was used to design the train passageway.
