Shoveling snow is a common hazard among the elderly, capable of causing shoulder dislocations and back problems due to the great opposing force caused by the weight of snow on the edge of inefficient typical snow shovels. The redesigned snow shovel will consist of the shovel part, connected to the main shaft by a curved piece, allowing the shovel to slide on the ground while the handle remains relatively horizontal, with the main shaft split by a bipod-like structure holding an axle with 2 wheels, with the bipod connecting to the main body closer to the shovel part than the handle, making lifting the shovel require less force. An open circular slot will connect the bipod and the main body, while also allowing the shovel head to rotate and dump the snow. At the end of the main body opposite of the shovel, there is a handle. The handle with the fixed fulcrum made by the slot will allow the user to use both hands to rotate the shovel as opposed to the one hand used with the traditional shovel, lifting some of the burden off of one hand. The leg of the shovel that hold the wheels is relatively skinny to make lifting the shovel easier.
