During the COVID-19 pandemic, I've been hyper-aware of everything I'm forced to touch when I venture out for essential supplies. It all comes down to a few high-touch areas: the handles on store doors and the touch screen of self-checkout machines. To minimize risk, I created a utility hook that clips securely to my pocket, accommodating both left- and right-handed users. The device features a small track where I can run a wire - I used copper from some spare twin and earth wires - to enable capacitive touch capabilities on touch screens without physically touching them.
