Socket 478 Cooling adapter

Socket 478 Cooling adapter

If you have ever worked with socket 478 PC's, you have probably had one of these heat sink retainers fail. I have replaced a few, but this time I noticed I had a sweet Athlon 2 heat sink that was just lying around. (FAR from about 2 years ago I am guessing). I designed this little adapter to keep that critter firmly attached and it has been running now for 2 weeks just as it should. I use the box as a server for a lan party and she stayed less than 26C the entire night. I was worried it might get warm enough in the box for the PLA to loose some rigidity, but the final design worked like a champ.
