Soda Bottle Sand Blaster Adapter

Soda Bottle Sand Blaster Adapter

thingiverse

This device allows you to make a low cost sand blaster out of a soda bottle and an inexpensive air gun. The print results in a sturdy block that can be used to make a great little sand blaster for very small jobs and occasional use. ALWAYS use safe practices when making and using air powered equipment. Sand blasting is a very dangerous process. Make sure you know how to do it safely before you try it. If you make this start with the lowest possible air pressure and work your way up to a pressure that works for you. Too much pressure could cause this device to fail and result in injury. ALWAYS wear adequate protective equipment when making and using a device like this. Here are some links to short YouTube videos showing the blaster in action: Rust Removal - https://youtu.be/w3Rh8ReXwTY Paint Removal - https://youtu.be/kQEELNxc--s (NOTE: I recommend fine walnut shell media rather than sand or other blasting media that will more quickly destroy the air gun. "Real" blasting guns use ceramic or other hardened nozzles. The cheap one this is designed for is made of fairly soft metal that will wear out.)
