<h2>Brief</h2> On a Venn diagram, the intersection of owners of both an IKEA Jerker desk, and a Sofirn BLF LT1 lantern probably amounts only to a small set, but if you're a member of that set, this may be for you. The LT1 is a good lantern, but the ratio between its height and diameter doesn't impart the greatest degree of stability when tail-standing, especially for something designed to be used in that fashion much of the time. More than once, I've errantly knocked it over while moving it out of the way, or retrieving it from its place on the desktop. (In normal usage, there are other 3D printable bases to create a larger footprint to give it better stability. But the additional space they consume is not necessarily desirable under all circumstances.) To reduce the risk of tip-over and declutter the desktop, this is a mount designed to take advantage of the Jerker's flexibility and give the LT1 a secure place where it won't take a tumble, and also serve as a perch from which it can also provide additional lighting if desired. Since the LT1 is derived from the Q8 flashlight, this could also serve to "holster" it to a Jerker as well. While a lot of Jerker accessories utilize snap-on designs, given the weight of the LT1, this mount employs a more robust rigid bracket and a pair of M6 x 45 fasteners to provide a solid attachment. While it's specifically designed for the Jerker's mounting points, other applications with similar dimensions (~30mm width / ~32mm hole spacing) could also be suitable. A cup design was chosen over a clamp/clasp design to mitigate the risk of the print materials losing their properties over time and failing to maintain a secure hold on the light. It's also a simpler print and can hold other things as well. <h2>Print Notes</h2> Printing at 10% infill provides more than sufficient rigidity with typical wall/layer settings. No supports required. But, do take care to specify the placement of the Z-axis seam on your preferred slicer to avoid having it end up in a conspicuous location. Based on local availability, and for the sake of brevity, the example is pictured with Philips-head screws. Button head cap screws matching the OE fasteners will be the preferable choice, once sourced.
