This filter lets you take pictures of the sun with any smartphone. Couldn't find solar glasses? Just print this thing so that you can still watch the eclipse. *** **Parts List:** 1 filter body (the 3D printed part) 3 small rubber bands: http://amzn.to/2vR2sOW 2 2" square pieces of mylar. http://amzn.to/2vLA16x *** **You can check out my video about it here: https://youtu.be/5Bvtpxah8sA** *** **Assembly instructions:** 1) Cut the mylar into small circles, just larger than the filter. 2) Strech both layers of the mylar over the filter as tight as you can, and hold it in place with one of the rubber bands. Depending on the size of the rubber band you will probably need to double it over so that it's tighter. Any wrinkles will hurt the quality of your photos. 3) tie the remaining to rubber bands onto two of the slots on the filter, then tie the rubbers bands together. *** **Use instructions:** Loop the rubber bands over your phone and position the filter so that it is directly over your lens. Use a camera app that lets you manually control your camera settings. zoom in as far as you can with your optical zoom, set the focus to infinity, set the ISO as low as possible, and adjust the shutter speed until you can see the sun clearly.
