A solar cap for the Celestron LCM 114 telescope. Might fit other models and brands that have a 130mm opening. Will require solar film. Can be purchased here: [Solar film for Telescopes](https://www.amazon.com/Solar-Filter-Telescopes-Binoculars-Cameras/dp/B01770FDAC/ref=sr_1_8) ###Instructions: * Print both the solar cap and clip in cover * Cut your [solar film](https://www.amazon.com/Solar-Filter-Telescopes-Binoculars-Cameras/dp/B01770FDAC/ref=sr_1_8) to match the size of the clip in cover * Place film in the square recess in the cap with the black side facing you * Snap the retaining cover into place (see photos for assembled cap) Check out my [other designs](https://www.thingiverse.com/TrustDavid/designs) for a [handheld solar viewer](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2778576) that can be made with the leftover solar film. ----------------- **Disclaimer** Make certain the cap fits snuggly in the telescope tube. I recommend securing the filter to the telescope with tape to ensure it doesn't fall off in case the telescope gets bumped. Make sure the retaining clip and film are secure before use. **Never look at the sun directly through the telescope without solar film** Please exercise caution and use at your own risk.
