Solar Filter - Celestron 8SE

<p>This project has been on my list for a while and this contest motivated me to get it done. &nbsp;This is a solar filter for a Celestron NexStar 8SE for viewing and taking pictures of the sun. &nbsp;The glass can be picked up through Amazon for $10 at the link below. &nbsp;Just set up the gcode to pause for the glass to be inserted at the proper time. &nbsp;The overall size to fit the telescope is too big and must be assembled with two out rings. &nbsp;The inner piece fits into a groove in the outer pieces. &nbsp;Once assembled and glued the filter will insert into the telescope frame exactly the same to the lense cover.</p><p>I did these in black PETG with a textured surface.</p><p>These particular pictures were taken with a Samsung S21 cell phone. &nbsp;The pictures themselves could be better, but it was really hot outside. &nbsp;It'll be better in the winter or during an eclipse.</p><p>https://www.amazon.com/Forney-57050-Replacement-Hardened-Shade-8/dp/B000TGEFR4/ref=psdc_3753561_t2_B001GM8PYY</p>
