Low-cost alternative to Tele Vue Sol-Searcher for Lunt Solar telescopes. DISCLAIMER: I have only tested this with a Lunt LS50THa, but I am pretty sure it will work with all the other models except for the 152mm. If you print it and use it with a different scope, please share your results! Requires two M5 x 8mm screws to install. I used a couple of large thumbscrews so that it could be removed/installed quickly and easily without tools. The recessed circle on the rear side is designed to fit a standard hole punch chad. Simply put a bit of glue stick on one side of a chad and press it firmly into place. This makes the projection of the sun much easier to see. Due to printing inaccuracies, the projection hole won't be perfectly circular. To fix this I simply drilled it out with a bit slightly larger than the hole. I recommend printing in PETG or ABS. I originally printed in black PLA but experienced warpage in just 80F weather. Alternatively, you could try printing in white to avoid heat absorption, but this may negatively affect the visibility of the Sun's projection.
