Wanted to add solar lights to the top of nominal 6" posts. The posts were the type typically used for building decks and fences. Most "add-on" solar lights are designed to be installed on posts with flat tops. Some posts, like ours, have a beveled top. This adapter fits under the solar light, raising it up enough to be above bevel peak, adding about 1" of space under the solar light to contain the bevel. I printed these in PETG. I added a couple of holes for mounting screws that matched the solar lights I purchased but not sure they will match all brands. Nominal 6" posts typically are actually about 5.5-5.6" across, this adapter assumes 5.67", matching most solar lights you can buy.
