This variant is a print of the original Solder Fume Extractor at 68 percent using an old CPU fan (which is an 80 x 80 fan). This CPU fan however as you can see has a bit larger fan cage due to the design. This piece I designed goes between the fan and the rest of the assembly allowing the fan to interface cleanly (without air leaks). I made it thick enough to allow for M3 brass heat sets to be used negating the need for nuts and bolts. Used 8 - M3 brass heatsets, 4 - M3 12mm black oxide screws, and 4 - 6mm black oxide screws. Made for a clean installation. Works great, and although it's a more compact model overall, it still draws the soldering fumes while sitting about 8 inches away from the workspace. Don't have a large desk so this more compact version works well for my application. Thanks BTW to sneakypoo for the design. Very nice. Be sure to download the rest of the Solder Fume Extractor parts from his thing. Only my adapter plate is downloadable from this thing.
