Supports are only needed for the filter support part. This part should be printed with the "mounting lip" facing upwards. Very simple soldering fumes extractor based around a 140mm computer fan that I had lying around and some carbon filters (Cooke & Lewis CARBFILT7) that are very cheap. As computer fans dimensions are quite normalize this should accommodate a large variety of 140mm fans. The assembly of the 2 main parts is done only by friction but can easily be glued if needed. In my solution I am powering the fan by usb through the help of a DC boost converter (cheap on amazon).
