Welcome to the Solenoid Gryphon Blaster Project This project is a remix of the original Gryphon made by Flygonial https://github.com/Flygonial/The-Gryphon-Foam-Dart-Blaster https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3576276 Project originally started by Taffy and Ciela in Fusion 360 and further adapted by Egghebrecht in Tinkercad. If you would like the original F360 files head over to Taffy’s discord server: https://discord.gg/6RWD9VWXP9 This blaster has been tested by multiple people and works perfectly The blaster uses standard talon magazines and is designed for the FTW Hyperdrive Solenoid The fileset comes with both a dual stage trigger setup and a 2 trigger setup Hardware list: * M3 screws 5mm, 8mm, 10mm, 14-16mm for mag release, 20mm for the motor cover * 8x6mm M4 Screws to mount the solenoid * 8x4-5mm M2 motor screws * 4x countersunk m2,6 (standard nerf) screws for the switches (length depending on switch used) * a FTW hyperdrive solenoid * Switches (see wiring schematic) * Connectors (XT 60 or other) * 10-20cm of 25mm or other tube for the stock (see original gryphon for imperial options) * Superglue for stock assembly * 5mm wide springs for triggers and mag release * 4 flywheel motors * Wire suitable for your powerload, heat shrink etc * optional mosfets based on your switch selection Notes & instructions * Only a dual stage motor cage is available for now, if you add a solenoid you want that 200 fps+ performance don’t you? * In the stl fileset only 40-39,5mm and 40-40mm flywheel cage options are available, the f360 fileset allowes you to specify your own distances parametrically, so if you need other options, head to discord and the f360 fileset * The secondary wire run on the left is purely cosmetic but can be used if needed, you only need to cut a small hole in the motor cover if you want to use it too * For the dual stage trigger it is advised to print both triggers and test which one works best for you, due to differences in switches, print quality, and even screws it the half mm difference between the 2 can make a huge difference * The ‘experimental’ magwell is designed to improve printability, both are available * Front grip: all normal gryphon options are available, both rail and the standard foregrip are included in the fileset * Stock: All gryphon stock options are available, a stock point for a 25mm tube and a 3/4" pvc are included. A 25mm alu tube big stock option is included in the fileset since it is what I needed for my personal build. * Wiring: See the wiring diagram pdf, fitting all the wires in the build can be a bit challenging but is totally possible, just pay attention so the wires don’t hinder the pusher. * It should be possible to thread the pusher onto the solenoid by using a set of pliers to grip both the printed pusher and the solenoid pin.
