Solid Bed Mounts for Ender 3 / CR-10

I wanted to convert my Creality Ender 3 to have solid bed mounts and I hated the silicone bed mounts that are popular on Amazon (and they're overpriced!). I bought some round aluminum spacers on Amazon and then created these models into which I press-fit the aluminum spacers. Now my print bed is solidly mounted to the Y carriage and, along with a bed probe, I never have to level my bed or deal with springs or silicone spacers ever again.

I would suggest printing these out of ABS, ASA, or Polycarbonate for heat resistance. The more perimeters you print with, the better; I printed with 4 perimeters and 40% grid infill. You may want to print with a brim, at least for the strain relief, depending on your bed adhesion.

When you press-fit the aluminum spacers they will not be entirely flush on both the top and the bottom of the printed part: the spacers are 22.225mm (7/8 inch) tall and the printed parts should be, with a well-tuned printer, exactly 22mm tall. You want the aluminum spacer to be a tad bit proud so that the spacer is in direct contact with the heated bed, not the plastic part.

The strain relief is remixed from this model by Greg191134 on Thingiverse.
