Solid Spiral Chess Set

I deliberately included the spiral part of each piece so I could install a bolt on every single one, adding significantly more weight and depth. To do this, I used a strong 3/8 x 1-1/2 inch hex bolt on most of the pieces, except for the pawns, which required only a 1/4 x 1 inch bolt to fit in the holes properly. Unfortunately, it was still quite a challenge getting the bolts in - they were a bit too snug so I had to use a socket wrench every time.
