Modification of Smitty505000's idler bracket for the Solidoodle 2 / Solidoodle 3 3D printers. I wanted to simplify the model, use a plain bore for the shaft to allow for finishing with a drill, and adapt it for use with plain 8x5x2.5mm (MR85) bearings. Note that this is not compatible with the Solidoodle 4 (this uses a new tensioning mechanism. Modification requires 1x left and 1x right part. Print standing up on small squarish face. 0.2-0.3mm layer height, >=40% honeycomb infill or 100% solid infill recommended. Modification requires 4x 8x5x2.5mm (MR85, MF85 or similar) bearings (if flanged, use the "flanged" files, if plain use the "plain" files), and 2x m3 set screws for the pulleys. Once printed, prior to installing block, carefully drill shaft mounting hole and bearing seats to size with an 8mm drill bit. To remove M3 screw holding existing bracket to case, heat the nutsert gently with a butane torch to loosen threadlocking compound. Otherwise drill the screw out and replace with longer M3 screw and nut. Please be careful, happy modding and happy printing!
