"Hang a shining star upon the highest bough..."
My family didn't have a traditional star or angel for the top of our Christmas/Solstice tree so I made one in TinkerCAD! There are 3 shapes, the star points (pyramid shapes with decorative sides), to be printed 5 times, the hexagonal shaped base with a star on it and a clip to be used to attach it to the top branch of the tree.
After printing each piece, you might want to sand down the sides of the points to make them smooth, but you should definitely flatten and smooth the bottoms of the points so they'll stick better.
Easily assembled with CA glue (cyanoacrylate: aka super glue!). Glue the clip on last. There is a hole in the back of the hexagonal base so that you can stuff the light with LED Christmas lights if desired. If you want to do this, consider inserting the lights before you do the glue-up. I might be easier to get them all the way in to each point this way.Finished star was 5.5" across on the wingspan from tip to tip. If you tree needs a bigger star, just scale it up in TinkerCAD or in your slicer. This object was made in Tinkercad. https://www.tinkercad.com/things/gUoWoT2ngqD
