Sony FX6 Kamerar QV-1 Loupe Adapter

Sony FX6 Kamerar QV-1 Loupe Adapter

thingiverse

This adapter allows you to mount a Kamerar QV-1 Loupe to a Sony FX6. To mount the setup, all you will need is: - Print the adapter (there is one inbuilt support to then remove) - 2 x O-Rings (20-25mm) or equivalent to mount it to the FX6 screen - 2 x M4 35mm nuts/bolts or equivalent for the hinge *** Important *** this print replaces the stock body on the QV-1, and to do that you will need to tap out the existing pin. This Pin is serrated at one end only, so (as per the pic) you will need to tap it out from the other side while supporting of the plastic hinge so as not to break it. I used a Hole Punch & Hammer with an adjustable wrench open just enough to let the pin move down while supporting the plastic hinge. My impressions so far are: - It is much better/clearer using the Loupe without my reading glasses than the Screen with reading glasses - Is firmly attached, and flips up - The loupe + adapter weighs 145g and there can be issues with FX6 screen drooping depending on the angle - With the rubber eye piece on the Loup Eye the corners of the screen can be clipped. - I'm going to have to change my rig around about so that it falls more naturally to where my right eye is when using my "el cheapo" shoulder rig. Note: This is a 19 April version of the adapter.
