Sony PCM-M10 Digital Audio Recorder Shock Mount for Tripod

This thing is a rubber-band shock mount that holds the recorder and attaches to a standard tripod screw. The rubber band suspension prevents loud thumps due to mechanical coupling when using the recorder's internal microphones. You can also just use it on a table top. This design allows access to ALL the recorder's controls, switches, and I/Os. The only thing you can't do with the recorder mounted is swap out the batteries. Instructions Print the two STL files- PCM-M10 SMR bolts to the recorder and PCM-M10 SMB bolts to the tripod. I printed using Coex3D ABS on MegaMax using 0.35mm nozzle, 0.25mm first layer and 0.2mm for the rest of the layers. I used 20% infill. No support material is required. The nut hole fits a stainless steel 1/4-20 nut that measures 11.1 mm between parallel faces and is about 4mm thick. The size in the drawing is 11.3 mm between parallel faces and it fits perfectly when MegaMax prints the SMR file. YMMV. Adjust accordingly. I designed this in Designspark Mechanical because it very easily creates swoopy rounded edges. The pictures show a single rubber band to hold the recorder but you may want to use three to improve security (if one breaks your recorder won't fall off the mount). Alternatively, you could use the recorder's lanyard to secure it against falls if a rubber band breaks. Add some sticky rubber feet to the bottom of the SMB for table top use.
