Some VCT-U14 have this plastic part. Some not. Mine had it and it was cracked, so i drew a replacement. Honestly have no idea what it even does, but all dimensions were copied from the original. Sadly i have no idea of the origin of my plate/tripod adapter, I bought a cheapest i could found.
