My sony wh-1000xm3 headphones broke and I really liked them. The clamp holds the housing together and it works like before. The clamp has an open but interlocking section to allow the cable to pass through without soldering. To install you have to unscrew the housing (2 tiny Phillips screws at the bottom) and also unscrew the cable from the housing. Put the clamp over the cable, the orientation is important, and assemble everything again. Enjoy.
