Sopranino recorder, cylindrical bore

This is a sopranino recorder with standard (English) recorder fingering. Unlike recorders of the baroque era onwards, this recorder has a straight bore. The sound is breathy and piercing. Instructions Updated 18/5/2013: The nose is now a separate piece, preventing the flat inside surface from sagging. This design should now produce a clear tone after welding together, with no extra work. This instrument is intended to be printed in ABS then welded together using acetone. Choose the number of pieces based on the maximum printing height of your printer and what it can print without tipping the part over: full instrument - 237mm 3 piece - 155mm 4 piece - 110mm 5 piece - 74mm 6 piece - 60mm I recommend the 5 piece version, if possible. I suggest printing with 100% infill. Due to the tallness of the pieces, they have a tendency to come loose while printing. This has been less of a problem since I switched from kapton tap to blue masking tape as a base material. To weld two pieces together, dip the two ends you are going to join in acetone for 20 seconds or so, then smoosh them together firmly.
