Sorting Hat Bottle Opener

<p>For the Harry Potter fan in your life, a Sorting Hat inspired bottle opener.</p><p>“SLYTHERIN!”</p><h4><strong>Print Instructions</strong></h4><p>Opening a bottle puts lots of strain on the print, so use stronger settings than usual to avoid tearing the print apart the first time you use it. (Ask me how I know…)</p><p>Suggested settings with PLA:</p><ul><li><i>At least</i> 25% infill with gyroid or cubic pattern (not unreasonable to use 100% infill for this application)</li><li>0.2 mm or better layer height</li><li>6 top/bottom solid layers</li><li>4 shells/walls</li></ul><p>When slicing, add a <strong>pause</strong> just before the coin slot is covered so you can insert a penny (USD). The coin will be permanently encased in the print (no glue required).</p><p><strong>NOTE:</strong> This is designed as a 2 color print. You will need to either manually change filaments, use a multi-material printer (like MMU), or a dual-nozzle printer.</p><p>As pictured, printed with PolyTerra Black and Matte Brown PLA at 50% cubic infill with 0.15 mm layer height. Sliced in IdeaMaker and printed on Raise3D E2 with dual nozzles for two color print.</p><h4><strong>Need Help?
