Housing to fit a 1500W water heater element I found at Lowes to be used for sous vide cooking. This will keep the water away from the terminals that would otherwise be exposed and dangerous. This setup works great when you are cooking for a lot of people. It can easily heat a full 100 qt. cooler. Only works with ABS because PLA will melt during use. Instructions The housing works with this element which you can find at Lowes. Print the part using ABS because it will get hot enough to melt PLA. Thread the wires through the part and then attach the terminals and screw the wires to the element. Epoxy the housing to the element. Seal the top end with something flexible like hot glue. I mount my element inside a utensil holder from Ikea. WARNING: Make sure it's sealed up well since this will be used with AC mains power right next to water. Also make sure your wires, terminals and SSR can handle a 1500W heating element.
