This is a model of a Southco Nylatch 2-piece Panel Latch (Mini Grip style) made from Nylon as the plunger and polycarbonate as the grommet. These plastic latches can be used to fasten two pieces of material that can be plastic, metal, or even wood. They are a great way to access small sheet metal or plastic or maintenance service ports.These have been used historically on Amateur Radio transceivers where access panels need to be covered, but occasionally opened.
