Southwestern style necklace

I was inspired to create this design by a pair of earrings I saw in a store. I liked the design and wanted to incorporate it into my next project, a necklace and earring set. I printed out a few of the diamond-shaped links and tried several arrangements, but ended up liking the fan-shaped design best. Paired with turquoise nuggets and silver accents, the jewelry has a Southwestern vibe. I finished it off with an "AP" label (my initials). I created the design in Illustrator and printed it using a laser engraver. Instructions The necklace links, earrings and rectangular links were laser cut from a 3mm wood board with vector settings: speed 30, power 100, frequency 500 Hz on a 40 watt Epilog Engraver. The "AP" label was also cut with these vector settings and rastered at 60% speed and 100% power. I linked the necklace pieces together using colored hemp and coated all of the wooden pieces with 2-3 layers of a protective polyurethane coating. I then used jump rings to attach the wooden links to the chain, added a lobster claw clasp, and attached the "AP label" to the end of the chain using another jump ring. The earrings were linked to the fish hook ear wire with a jump ring as well.
