Sovella workbench. Cable winch pulley movement mechanism.

5mm cable, 80mm pulleys,

800kg-1200kg braking style hand winch. Est $60

Pulleys are set up so that only one strand of cable winds onto winch. To avoid uneven winding that would occur with 2 strands on drum, which would cause uneven lifting.

Springs can not be used with this design because the cables only pull up. Any spring stronger than the load would raise the bench and cause the cables to become slack. This is somewhat alleviated with the adjustable ratio hand crank.

Similar hand crank to V-2.0. Adjustable leverage/ratio for different weight benches and different strength users. Reverses position for stowage. This version does not detach like the 2.0 style.

A spring loaded pawl could be used to increase safety. It would engage notches on the legs as the table moved upward. It would have a control cable release when lowering. This would increase costs about $25 to $50.
