Sovol SV01 Filament Roller Tube (Minimal Plastic, Easy Printing)

(UPDATE 4/13/2021: Fixed an issue where the spool could be pulled off the tube. Now there's a definitive front and back to the spool. The front being the part with the brim. Please download the v3.1/2 files) ------ I'd love to see your makes or hear how it's working for you :) Should work on any spool roller that matches the radius of the Sovol SV01. (Around 30mm diameter) I didn't really like how every filament roller design either ditched the OEM spool holder, required purchasing bearings, or was a huge plastic dump and hard to print. So I made this. It still requires an outside purchase (airsoft BB's). But I'm pretty glad I hit all the other marks. It's a mad easy print. Uses virtually no plastic. I've tried shaking it violently and have never dislodged a single BB. And lets you still use all your OEM pieces. Plastic used: 12-15g Print Time: 1:30 - 2 Hours Current version uses 38 6mm BB's. (Airsoft bb's) Notes: Print it standing straight up. Can be spiraled at lower layer heights. Can be printed even as large as 3mm. Make sure to use infill. For some reason printing it with 0 infill results in a weak and fragile shell. Even when maxed on walls. So add literally any additional infill. (I use only 4% gyroid infill) ---- But yeah. Print the tube. Slide it over. Then pop the bb's in. They may fall into the center but after you get a few in the ring, it'll hold it's distance. Real easy to pop out too. Just slip something between the bb's like a pencil and it'll pop right out. (Update v3.1) NormalSovolSV01_Filament_Roller_Tube = Normal length tube but with an added lip to prevent spools being pulled off. (Update v3.2) LongSovolSV01_Filament_Roller_Tube = Same as 3.1 but lengthened so it now runs nearly the full length of the OEM spool. The previous size allowed more sliding along the spool. (Currently testing this one.) Sovol Filament Roller Tube = The updated version. Slightly widened so it's easier to get on and off. Sovol SV01 V1 = My previous version that sat closer to the OEM tube. Takes more effort to slide on. Sovol Bearing Assist Plate = A Plate to make it easier to hold the tube level when inserting BB's. Entirely not necessary but it's there if you want it. I'm currently experimenting with one that uses fewer bb's. And would like to come up with an option that removes the need for buying BB's all together.
