No support needed, I designed it for my 2020 Volvo V60CC, it should also fit the new generation V60. I can't guarentee it would fit other SPA platform Volvos. Installation instructions: Peel back the weather seal on the top of the trunk and slide the hook onto the headliner. You can tap 12v power from the rear fuse box and run the wire under the trunk weather seal.
