I've had this idea to make some LED eyeglasses for a while, so tonight I sat down and made them. It's a quick and dirty build. I used Fusion360 to make the model, printed it on our Prusa MK3S in a draft setting, and used a BlinkyTape + PatternPaint to make a quick ‘cycling’ animation.

I was mostly interested in how the side-mounted LED rings would reflect off of the plastic. It might also be interesting to try printing it in a higher quality setting, and use some post-processing to create more of a mirrored finish.

TIP: if the glasses don't fit quite right, they can be adjusted by carefully heating the plastic with a heat gun, then quickly bending it a little to get the desired fit.

Parts required:
1x ‘glasses front.stl’
1x ‘right side.stl’
1x ‘left side.stl’
2x m2 screw, around 8mm long
2x LED rings
1x BlinkyTape controller
1x USB cable
1x USB battery pack
some loose wires
soldering iron+solder
