In the creation of the special editions, Boba Fett was inserted into additional scenes in both A New Hope and Return of the Jedi. While the scene added for ANH was primarily the ROTJ hero costume, the version used for the additional ROTJ scene costume did not match any of the previously established configurations, combining elements of PP2, ESB, and ROTJ. This CRL is related only to the ROTJ SE version. While there are technically two sub-versions of the ROTJ SE suit, on-screen vs. Promo, the on-screen suit was never used in its entirety and was missing many key aspects. The full SE suit was only used in promotional photo shoots taken around 1997, to promote the special edition films, and is therefore the only version acceptable for approval.
