Spacer for mini lath spindle - With tapered bearing shield.

I saw this great spacer that was released for the mini-mill that was shorter to accommodate the tapered roller bearing upgrade, but, you leave those bearings open and exposed on the backside without protection and I wasn't comfortable with that. This is a very simple remix that adds a double-tiered shielding that fits inside the cover and is close, but, leaves 1 or 2mm to accommodate error and prevent rubbing. I feel much more comfortable with this extra protection on the backside of the spindle, The front I closed up reasonably by adding a large O ring since it fits much tighter. If you're smarter than me and your printer accuracy is questionable, instead of scaling you could chuck it up before disassembly and clean up the bore (I know you have a lathe). Make sure yours prints fine and doesn't rub before spinning up in case your machine differs slightly from mine. I've attached the 3mf file and complete STL. If you need to tighten or loosen the shield you can ungroup the 3mf and adjust as needed. I used this on my Harbor Freight 7x10 benchtop Central Machinery lathe. I'm sure it will fit a sieg or grizzly or other 7x12 or similar lathes that fit a 30206. I converted the ball bearings to 30206 UXCell tapered roller bearings ($20 on amazon. Aliexpress is half that). There are plenty of guides on that (and videos from people like this old tony). Very worthwhile conversion!
