Spartan M Keychain

Spartan M Keychain

This is just a little keychain I designed for a school project. I needed to give a speech so I chose to talk about my trusty 3D printer. I planned my speech around how to design, build to Gcode, and print an object using this as an example for each step. At the end of the presentation I gave all of my classmates one of these keychains to show how cool it was to have something 3d printed. That said, this one has a spartan head and an M because those match my school, but they also work great for any Michigan State fans out there. Print Settings Printer Brand: MakerBot Printer: Thing-O-Matic Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: .3mm Infill: 10-20% Notes: I printed 4 at a time, but on a bigger print bed you could easily fit more, and I encourage you to do just that. Also, I print with the M face down because it has less overhang than the spartan head. The last thing I did to help these print well was to turn the keychain so that the first layer that is bridging the M is horizontal, not vertical (Matching the straight up and down lines on the M). This again shortens any bridging my printer has to do and makes the print cleaner and nicer.
