Spatial Model

Spatial Model

grabcad

A fun project based on a Pinterest gif showcases an intriguing spatial effect with identical curves. Created in a spreadsheet, the curves were exported to Solidworks as .SLDCRV for modeling using Solidworks 2016. Rendering was done with Simlab Composer 7 Mechanical Edition, with frames edited in Virtualdub and saved as AVI/X264 and BMP formats. The video was remuxed to MP4 using MyMP4BoxGui, while gifs were created with PhotoScape. IrfanView was used for render edits. Animated 3D-PDF, ZIM, and SIMLAB files are available, viewable on iOS and Android devices via the free Simlab Viewer app. The model can be accessed in multiple formats including Solidworks 2016, Simlab Composer 7, DAE, STEP, IGES, Parasolid, OBJ, 3D-PDF, SketchUp, 3DS, and ZIM.
