Spectum DX6i Battery Cover

Spectum DX6i Battery Cover

This started a a remix of Davross' DX4/5 battery cover but I can't seem to find that Thing now so I am crediting the DX8. The DX4/5 cover came "oh-so-close" to fitting on on the DX6i transmitter. I wanted to just make the minor changes required for a prefect fit for the DX6 and Davross had kindly supplied the 123D Design files. I downloaded 123D Design to make the changes and repost the files. Unfortunately 123D Design does not seem to let you go back and modify the sketches used to generate the 3D extrusions (sad face) so I gave up on modifying the files and recreated the part using Inventor. I did use the idea of building the support for the tabs in the model. Much better control of where the support material is placed than letting the printer decide. Will use this feature much in future designs. The tabs (especially the middle one) will probably require some finish work to get a good "click" fit after removing the supports. Print Settings Printer Brand: LulzBot Printer: Mini Rafts: No Supports: No Infill: 20% Notes: The supports for the tabs are built into the model per Davross' original. Just break them off after printing.
