This is an enclosure for a Speedlight for use outdoors. It was designed specifically for use in a camera trap situation and was inspired by George S Blonsky's work described in his YouTube video "Making a DSLR Camera Trap for Wildlife Photography with a Camtraptions V3 PIR sensor" https://youtu.be/jF2ELZMSd0w I have included a full construction document which describes parts I have obtained here in the UK - no doubt there will be similar things available in other parts of the world though! All parts apart from the Top Endcap were printed in PLA. The Top Endcap has to transmit flash light so I used the clearest plastic I had at the time - Form Futura ClearScent ABS. Note that in two pieces, holes appear not to go all the way through. This has been done on purpose - there is a layer height "base", (thickness of 0.25mm), when going from a large diameter to a smaller one as without this you would be printing in thin air at one point. Once the piece has been printed it is an easy job to push through this separation layer with an M3 screw. BottomEndCapV2.stl carries a support for the wireless receiver unit and a couple of locating pieces which should make it easier to fix the mounting screw from the outside. Note that the support and locator sizes are based on using a receiver from Camtraptions although they may well suit receivers from other manufacturers. (The bottom of the Camtraptions receiver is about 11mm above the entry point of the screw and roughly 42 wide). This file also uses an M8 washer and a D-Ring tripod type screw rather than a 1/2" UNC 1/4" screw and washer which I used originally.
