neodymium sphere magnets are a fun toy - with one fatal weakness: the nickel plating (that keeps the NdFeB-core from corroding) can get damaged easily - especially around the magnetic-poles where the spheres come in contact with other magnets/magnetic-objects with these three half molds, using a two step process, it is possible to cast-in a (8mm diameter, neodymium) sphere magnet in a 1mm thick protective shell made from oogoo Instructions mix a small batch of oogoo use part A + B to cast a half sphere let it cure open the mold, keep the half-sphere in part B insert the sphere magnet mix another small batch of oogoo put oogoo in part C and close it over part B with the magnet apply pressure to close the mold let the whole thing cure open the mold and cut/pull off any excess material enjoy :-)
