Sphericon 04 (Hexagon Based)
thingiverse
The sphericon is a solid with a continuous developable surface that features two congruent semi-circular edges and four vertices defining a square shape. It belongs to a unique family of rollers that, when rolled on a flat surface, bring all points of their surface into contact with the surface they are rolling on. This sphericon, like other designs I'll be uploading soon, is roughly based on a hexagon. I've incorporated circles in the corners and center, connected by splines. Additionally, cutouts have been added to the outer circles, which are typically swiped around the central axis. I created these models a while back but wasn't sure if I should share them or not. It was primarily for practicing with Fusion 360 and having some fun prints/giveaways. Now that I've made up my mind, I'm uploading them. As usual, I've shamelessly stolen the idea from Maker's Muse.
