hello! this is a *working* spider man web shooter using rubber bands and ramrods. (edit: i dont know what the correct term is) i hope you have fun building it and using it! i designed this in fusion 360. instructions: start with these 3 pieces: ramrod, ramrod end, and ramrod barrel. put the ramrod end on either side of the ramrod. then secure it anyway that doesnt block any side of the ramrod end. (i used superglue just around the end of the ramrod but you can use anything else) next, you glue a rubber band onto the back of the ramrod and ramrod end. make sure that it is parallel to the thicker side of the ramrod end. then insert the ramrod into the ramrod barrel. step 2 grab these pieces: baseplate, tube (x3), and the piece you just made. the glue the piece you just made in the center of the baseplate, so that the ramrod can slide back to the end of the baseplate and not fall out. make sure that the ramrod can still be in the barrel, but at the very back. then on the opposite side of the baseplate, glue the tubes onto the baseplate, all facing the same way, with glue holes facing the baseplate. next, take the trigger and insert it into the middle tube.it should stick out quite a bit. then, take the backplate and glue it onto the baseplate, in a 90 degree angle. then glue the inserted trigger onto the center of the backplate. then take the rubber band you glued onto the ramrod earlier and loop it over the trigger. now you can pull back the ramrod and make the thicker side hook on the backplate, push the trigger and fire! you can use whatever straps you want.
