SPIKED FEET FOR CAMERA TRIPOD
I designed these to go with my 3LeggedThing Leo2.0 tripod (https://www.3leggedthing.com/uk/3-legged-thing-leo-2-0-carbon-fibre-tripod-system.html) to replace the standard rubber boots for use on rock/hard surfaces. They should work with any other tripod that uses 1/4-20 UNC screw-in feet. You will need to get some 1 inch long 1/4-20 UNC steel grub screws with hex slots in (try eBay or Amazon). Carefully screw the grub screws into the foot, use a 14mm AF spanner on the flats and/or a padded bench vice since they should be a tight fix. Leave at least 15mm of thread exposed - if you screw it in too far then the you will push off the front of the foot. I printed mine in a silk copper PLA since I thought it matched the tripod although any PLA should do. I used a 0.15mm layer height with 15% infill See also my set of tripod legs to convert the tripod into a table top tripod
